The direct financing of "synergistic initiatives" carried out through grants provided by the Global Fund is one of the mechanisms through which the Italian Cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) supports the fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The initiatives currently underway in Uganda are:
- Rise Against Malaria Project - Support for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of malaria in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic - ERASE (CUAMM)
- EnCoMi: - Community Engagement to Maximize Impact Against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria (AVSI)
