Bruno, Mzungu, Mwarua, Izehema: four stories have been published (to date) on the ‘People of the Coast’ blog created by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
The blog intends to tell the stories of young men and women based in the coastal area of Kenya, who are protagonists of the Italian component of the Go Blue Program, funded by the European Union and created by AICS to accelerate the development of the blue economy in Kenya.
WaPwani (“People of the Coast”, in Swahili) is a dive into reality; it is a journey into the Kenyan coast with a new outlook; an encyclopedia of stories and testimonies of women, men and young people, of their daily routes and struggles, of their successes and changes.
